Job Description

We are looking for a Optimisation Software Engineer to join our dedicated Development team, working alongside our experienced engineers and an assigned Product Owner. You will be directed by the Product Owner. You will be tasked with developing performant, maintainable code to implement & enhance optimisation, routing, and data analytics processes in our ECHO eco-system.

What would you be doing?

This is a full-time hybrid (onsite & remote) role for an experienced Software Engineer. The Software Engineer’s main purpose will be to assist the Optimisation Team to develop performant, maintainable code to implement & enhance Optimisation.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement low-level routing and optimisation algorithms
  • Road network data import
  • Cloud-based routing API
  • Develop and publish code changes to meet feature requirements, fix bugs, and refactor existing code.
  • Apply software engineering best practises to ensure code security, maintainability, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct thorough and timely code reviews in accordance with in-house style guidelines
  • Support the refinement of high-level feature specifications.
  • Provide accurate estimates of future work.
  • Provide technical support to other teams for use of related internal tooling.
  • Work collaboratively in cross-team squads to deliver new functionality.
  • Support the deployment and maintenance of cloud-based applications.
