We seek a highly motivated Junior C# Developer to join our dynamic team. - We are a technology travel platform located in the centre of beautiful Bury St Edmunds, with exciting plans for the future.
- We own and operate specialist leisure websites focusing on accommodation but also including activities. They include BeachHuts.com, BritainsFinest.co.uk, FishPal.com, Monasteries.com and UniversityRooms.com.
- Our booking engine, which has been developed for over ten years, also powers third-party websites.
- We are building a property management system (PMS) to provide our properties with additional tools (turbo-pms.com).
- Revenue grew over 20% in 2023 to reach a new record, and we are on track for that to accelerate in 2024.
- Our vision is to be the world’s leading collection of leisure booking websites that are no.1 in their markets, backed by our platform and subscription software.
- We have an exciting journey ahead and are recruiting 3 new developers to add to our team of 6 developers, a product owner, and a tester.
Junior C# Developer Responsibilities and Duties
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimising performance and efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and functionalities into existing systems.
- Support legacy systems built on older .NET frameworks, ensuring compatibility and stability.
- Help move the system to new technologies, e.g. upgrading our framework from .NET 4.8 to .NET 8.
Qualifications and Skills
“Must have” Skills
- 1 Year C# experience or more.
“Nice to have” technical skills
- MySQL or SQL
- JavaScript
- HTML
- CSS
- Visual Studio
- Experience with one of Vue.js, React or Angular.
- .NET framework Experience.
- Strong understanding of server-side technologies, such as IIS, SQL Server, and Windows Server.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

- A degree in computer sciences would be an advantage but is not a requirement.
