The Infrastructure and Helpdesk IT Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to all staff and members within chambers. This role requires a strong understanding of IT security principles and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the chambers' data and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-line technical support to staff members for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of the chambers' IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
- Work with the outsource partner to implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the chambers' data and systems against unauthorized access, viruses, malware, and other security threats.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT outsource partner to ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations, such as UK GDPR.
- Provide IT training and guidance to staff and members on security best practices and procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest IT security trends, technologies, and threats to proactively address potential risks.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT incidents, resolutions, and security-related activities.
- Assist in the procurement and deployment of IT equipment and software as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security audits.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Office 365, InTune and other common business applications.
Familiarity with MacOS.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical staff members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCNA Security are a plus.
- Familiarity with legal industry-specific software and applications is desirable but not required.
