Job Description

As a Wordpress Developer you will play a vital role in building, maintaining, and optimising high-performing websites across our 6 distinctive business units. Your skills will shape the visual identity and functionality of our digital presence, making a lasting impact on how our industry interacts with our product offerings.

Wordpress Developer Responsibilities:

  • Work with the marketing team to translate design concepts into engaging and functional websites built on WordPress
  • Development of custom themes and plugins
  • Implement regular updates and new features to Wordpress websites
  • Ensure website responsiveness and a seamless user experience across all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  • Optimisation of page speed across Wordpress websites
  • Implement best practices for SEO optimisation to improve website search engine ranking and drive traffic to websites
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, plugins, and security updates to future-proof websites across the business

The type of Person we are looking for:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in prioritising a heavy workload and the ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to focus on key priorities with a results driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications and Essentials:

  • Proficient in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development
  • Familiarity with PHP programming language
  • Knowledge of database management systems, such as MySQL
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

Desirable:

  • Familiarity of implementing and editing data analysis platforms such as Google Tag Manager/Google Analytics
  • Previous experience using Moodle
  • Knowledge of Javascript

Job Type: Wordpress Developer -  Full-time

Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per year
