Job Description

The role of the Lift Engineer Surveyor, specialising in the Lifting equipment is to undertake the survey and inspection of various types of lifts, escalators, lifting machinery, and materials handling equipment to ensure that they comply with current regulatory and statutory requirements. The role is based in London with travel across primarily London and the South East to undertake the inspections.

Responsibilities:

Based on projects and/or accounts allocated by the Head of Field Services, deliver company services to a standard that creates high levels of customer satisfaction encompassing any one of the responsibilities outlined below. The nature of the company business will mean that these responsibilities could change/develop as the company accommodates changing market requirements:

  • Undertake equipment surveys in accordance with D2E and/or client Health and Safety Policies. All information to be recorded on iPAMS (D2E's auditing software).
  • Carry out testing and witnessing completed works or installations
  • Troubleshooting investigations and reports
  • Compile strategic and feasibility reports in accordance with client requirements using D2E templates
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and always look to promote D2E with a wider audience
  • Ensure regular communication with all stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of D2E services

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Timed served apprentice or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years working experience in the lift industry (post apprenticeship)
Ability to work on own initiative with minimum of supervision
Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Have a good understanding of lift and escalator functionality, maintenance, fault finding and repair
Ability to deliver well-written and accurate reports supported by relevant computer skills
IT Knowledge: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, comfortable using apps on phone (used to complete surveys)
Full driving license
