Job Description

An experienced Software Developer required to join our dynamic IT Development team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams across IT Operations, Corporate Projects, Banking Operations, Client Relationship Management, and external partners. Working within a skilled team of System Developers and Analyst Programmers, you will develop secure, high-quality applications for both consumer and enterprise solutions.

This position offers a fast-paced, changing environment with shifting priorities, so flexibility and occasional availability outside of standard office hours are essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure software solutions.
  • Write production-quality code and review/debug code written by others.
  • Develop systems with awareness of dependencies on upstream and downstream components.
  • Work closely with the IT team to investigate software incidents and support Root Cause Analysis documentation.
  • Apply and maintain system processes and methodologies for secure and stable software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using React, HTML5/CSS3 for frontend and Java Spring Boot for backend.
  • Integrate frontend components using RESTful APIs and optimize for scalability and performance.
  • Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, enhancing speed and user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience contributing or building modern, production-grade web applications.
  • Practical experience with JavaScript or TypeScript libraries (e.g., React) and well versed in Java 17+/Spring Boot ecosystem, MVC, Spring JPA, and Hibernate, including automated unit/integration testing.
  • Solid understanding of web application architecture (REST APIs, templating, routing, caching, and security).
  • Knowledge of core web principles (HTTP, SSL, the DOM).
  • Proficiency with relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Good knowledge of Network Infrastructure including basic Routing and Switching knowledge (WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to teamwork and communication.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, AEM, Sitefinity).
  • Familiarity with Linux OS ecosystem
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
