CNC/CAM Programmer (ID: BHgxtGy8)

The CNC / CAM Programmer will manage all areas of programming and support to run a high-end, new 5-axes CNC machine to ensure the delivery requirements are met and maintained.

The key areas of responsibility and accountability in the role are:

• Manufacturing to the highest standard master patterns or trimming programmes for Aerospace, Automotive / Motorsport & other sectors.
• Reading & interpreting engineering drawings
• Use of Mastercam programming software to produce programs for 5 Axis pattern / trimming machines.
• Use simulation software to verify CAM programs.
• Use of Siemens controllers.
• Supporting the CNC Operator by setting up & operating 5 Axis CNC-machine/s.
• Drive technology and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques already in the programming.
• Recording the programming times to support project controlling.
• Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing in an accurate and timely manner

Additional / Personnel Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of 5 Axis CNC-machine programming.
• CAD / CAM experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Flexible Approach to workload & business needs.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Assist with maximising productivity wherever possible.
• Assist with continual improvements on all projects.
• Assist with best practice standards.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
