The CNC / CAM Programmer will manage all areas of programming and support to run a high-end, new 5-axes CNC machine to ensure the delivery requirements are met and maintained.
The key areas of responsibility and accountability in the role are:
- Manufacturing to the highest standard master patterns or trimming programmes for Aerospace, Automotive / Motorsport & other sectors.
- Reading & interpreting engineering drawings
- Use of Mastercam programming software to produce programs for 5 Axis pattern / trimming machines.
- Use simulation software to verify CAM programs.
- Use of Siemens controllers.
- Supporting the CNC Operator by setting up & operating 5 Axis CNC-machine/s.
- Drive technology and cutting-edge manufacturing techniques already in the programming.
- Recording the programming times to support project controlling.
- Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing in an accurate and timely manner
Additional / Personnel Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of 5 Axis CNC-machine programming.
- CAD / CAM experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible Approach to workload & business needs.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Assist with maximising productivity wherever possible.
- Assist with continual improvements on all projects.
- Assist with best practice standards.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
