We are recruiting a Senior Front-End Engineer to join the development team at Hyve Managed Hosting. You will focus on delivering clean, exceptional solutions for multiple external applications.

As a member of our team, you will take an active role in conceptualizing and creating new features, with a strong emphasis on adhering to best practice guidelines, enhancing performance, ensuring maintainability, and facilitating scalability. Participating in code reviews and technical design discussions will be part of your remit. You will manage the full development cycle, from the initial design phase through to production deployment.

Salary range: £40,000 - £55,000

What you’ll be doing?

This is an opportunity to join our agile development team working as a Senior Front-End Software Engineer. You will be using your excellent JavaScript/Typescript, HTML and CSS skills to build and support new features adding value for Our Business.
As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will also use your knowledge of Software Engineering to lead the shaping of new projects and support the professional development of less experienced Engineers.

Successful candidates will have a passion for using technology to deliver outstanding and innovative software solutions, and will have a track record of working in teams delivering complex, performant, accessible, high-quality software.

Requirements:

• 3yr+ experience in a professional production environment 
• Expertise in modern JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience of leading and influencing engineering decisions in a complex environment.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI, GitHub Actions
• A structured approach to systems analysis and development.
• A good understanding of Microservice Architectures.
• Experience with modern application frameworks such as React.
• Experience with building fully accessible applications.
• An understanding of Agile development methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Extensive experience in TDD, pair programming.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical details to non-technical team member
