C Programmer - Brentwood (ID: G5aINxQr)

Experienced C coder required, must have 5 years commercial experience working as a C programmer. We are providers of specialist mortgages and secured loans, we aim to provide customers with a high-quality service. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) we are well established, with over 30 years in our industry.

C Programmer Responsibilities:

• Be proficient compiling code using gcc and Makefiles.
• Produce detailed technical specifications to allow Business Users to agree proposals.
• Maintain and produce bash scripts.
• Enhance existing modules within our system.
• Write new modules for the system.
• Maintain links with external systems.
• Provide user support for system issues.
• Correct customer information as authorised.
• Take part in the overnight on-call support rota
• Assist with other IT tasks if required (User support and System Administration)

Required Experience:

• Upwards of 5 years extensive C coding experince.
• Experience of producing Makefiles.
• Experience with system integration.
• Familiarity with Subversion.
• Understanding of Red Hat Linux.
• Ability to understand and support existing code.
• Experience in the financial sector not essential but preferred

Remuneration:

Pay: £55,000.00-£70,000.00 per year

Location:

• Hybrid working (Working days in the office are negotiable, we anticipate 1 day per month after training, during training the successful individual would need to attend the office frequently)
