On the track, Formula 1 is a team sport. And the business behind is the same. We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join our IT team based in our Biggin Hill Campus who will commission, maintain and operate the Formula 1 IT Network Infrastructure.

Network Engineer, Biggin Hill  -  Division: Technical  -  Reporting to the IT Network Manager, you will:

•     Commission and maintain the IT Network Infrastructure at fixed sites
•     Rig, commission and then following the event de-rig the IT Network Infrastructure at Grand Prix events.
•     Have a positive input on design upgrades and planning.
•     Be responsible for operational systems and intervene where and when required.
•     Ensure the IT Network Infrastructure is compliant with GPDR regulation and SOX compliance.
•     Share knowledge and experience with team members in a manner that enhances the overall performance of the team.
•     Provide and maintain a secure IT working environment for the business.
•     Produce reports and statistics as required.
•     Provide user support as necessary within the organisation.
•     Be available to work on the IT Network Infrastructure outside of usual ‘Business Hours’, both planned and unplanned (on-call).
•     Be available to work remotely on systems at the Broadcast Centre during ‘event hours’
•     Travel when required to Grand Prix events to be part of a team supporting the IT Network Infrastructure.
•     Travel when required to colocation Data Centres and other and partners business premises.
•     Keep abreast of developments in the Industry, and consider how these may be incorporated into the IT Network Infrastructure.
•     Support the IT Network Manager in ensuring that the IT Network Infrastructure meets ongoing business objectives.

Specification Essentials

•     Degree, HND/C in IT related Subject or relevant experience
•     Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching (CCNA)
•     IT networking experience
•     Network switching, routing and Wi-Fi in a Cisco environment (IOS and NX-OS)
•     Aptitude for fault-finding
•     Proactive, self-motivated and organised
•     A good flexible and adaptable attitude
•     Ability to travel within the UK and Internationally
