Job Description

We are searching for a very Experienced Senior Frontend Software Developer

Salary: 60k - 80k - Dependent on experience

Vitrue’s mission is to eliminate musculoskeletal pain for tens of millions of people (think back or neck pain, sports injuries, arthritis and other chronic conditions). We strive to enrich our users’ lives, empowering them to do what they love – from playing their favourite sport to enjoying quality time with their friends and families.

Our workplace wellbeing platform, VIDA, tackles musculoskeletal pain, whether from sitting at your desk, poor technique in a golf swing or from a pre-existing condition. It uses motion capture and clinical diagnostic technology to understand each user’s’risk factors and provides personalised support to reduce or avoid pain. We’ve got happy clients spanning multiple sectors across 27 countries (including Bupa, the NHS, Accurx and Campari)

We’re funded by some of the UK’s leading investors and we’re extremely excited about what’s coming in our next chapter. We’ll be launching a wide array of new products and features to help all kinds of MSK pain and conditions. We’ve got 15 people in the team and we’re doubling this year.

Our ambitious plans over the next few years are going to change the way the world thinks about preventing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and we need help from exceptional people to help us achieve them.

Our tech stack

  • VueJS, ThreeJS, HTML, CSS
  • Computer vision technologies including Posenet & Blazepose
  • 3D motion capture
  • Cloud-based architecture taking advantage of the full AWS ecosystem
  • C#, APS.Net Core
  • MySql
  • Tools like Sentry, Retool, Jira

The role:

We’re searching for people who want to join an early but fast-growing team to do more than tick off tickets, but have a meaningful impact on the direction of our product and engineering culture.

Day to day you’ll spend your time:

  • Solving interesting challenges (from making complex ideas clear, simple and attractive to our users to working with the designer and clinical team to create a delightful user experience)
  • Delivering new features and functionality that bring value and impact our user experience through clean, testable code (we love TDD and DDD!)
  • Making key architectural and tooling decisions to ensure we keep our systems reliable and efficient
  • Improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our core systems.
  • Working closely with our our clinical and UX teams to design experiments and implement complex clinical logic systems/algorithms.
  • Helping create a culture of engineering excellence, through coaching, mentoring and collaborating with other engineers in your team as well as furthering your personal development.

We’d love to hear from you if...

You are a senior software developer with 4+ years of experience and a strong logical approach to solving software problems
Have built a commercial application of significant complexity using any object-oriented language
Experienced in creating cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure etc)
And last but certainly not least – you have a passion for learning and self-development, and you pride yourself on being a valued member of the team!

Benefits:

  • £500 annual learning budget with 2 days of learning leave
  • Monthly team dinners and annual team retreat
  • £300 wellness budget
  • Meaningful share options, so that you own a part of the company
  • Flexible use of Public Holidays
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • A shiny MacBook Pro or whatever you need to do your best work
  • 25 days holiday (excl. bank holidays)
  • Dog-friendly workspace (currently in Camden but soon to move to a new office near Liverpool Street.)

Vitrue Health has a 50:50 gender split and we care deeply about inclusive working practices and diverse teams. We want to attract the best talent and create an environment that supports and includes them.

Working Remotely:

We offer the team the option to work from home 2 days a week.
