Job Description

We are now seeking a motivated Associate or Mid-Level Web Developer who can demonstrate flexibility and a proactive approach; possessing the ability to seamlessly switch between technologies and projects. This exciting role will reward the more enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate, with potential development opportunities and additional responsibilities.

Initially, your focus will be on developing and maintaining our digital team wallboard along with supporting the configuration and rotation of Pixel Toys' and the game's analytics dashboards. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and design in order to deliver top-notch web solutions, while also supporting the configuration and administration of web servers.

As the role evolves, you may also gain the opportunity to take on important and exciting new responsibilities, such as managing updates for the company’s website, developing internal web tools to improve operational efficiency, as well as contributing to Pixel Toys' game website.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and innovation with the potential to also work with and promote AI tools to boost productivity. Over time, the role will grow, allowing you to expand your skills, take ownership of new projects and embrace the evolving needs of the business.

About Us:

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, we have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

As a forward-thinking and innovative studio, we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

We are excited to continue growing our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!

About You:

Possessing strong communication skills, both written and verbal, you are able to collaborate effectively across teams while also managing your projects. Collaboration is key in this position but with the ability to self-motivate, you will also be capable of working independently, showing initiative and a proactive approach to solving problems. On top of this, your keen eye for detail will ensure high-quality results in everything you do.

With solid experience in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, you are also familiar with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React.js. You will also have a good grasp of backend development, including node.js and JSON, and an understanding of the importance of source control in maintaining project integrity.

Additionally, it would be beneficial if you are able to draw upon experience in managing web servers (such as WordPress, Apache, NGINX etc.), which will enable you to ensure smooth operation and site performance.
Ultimately your ability to balance multiple projects while staying focused on the details will make you an ideal candidate for this role.

What can we offer?

At Pixel Toys we are proud of the progressive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment we have created; a place where everyone has the opportunity to be themselves and is welcomed and valued for who they are and what they contribute. We have some fantastic benefits we offer our employees… Here are just some of them:

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary, reviewed annually
  • 25 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays
  • Discretionary Bonus Scheme
  • Up to 3 additional long service days (duvet days!)
  • Private Medical Insurance (including optical and dental)
  • Company Pension scheme
  • Death in Service benefit
  • Regular socials including epic summer and Christmas parties!
  • Staff training and development
  • Quarterly Wellness days (On-site massages and more)
