Role Profile:
As we look to further enhance our market presence, we are recruiting a Full Stack PHP Developer who will join the business and work on developing web systems for each of our five Advanced Manufacturing Sites in North Wales.
Your main focus will be to ensure that PHP systems are delivering against the business requirements. You will be responsible for working with 3rd party contractors, the internal IT team and key internal stakeholders to coordinate and deliver development improvements to unlock operational efficiencies and objectives. Working individually and as part of a wider development team, you will take ownership of the programming development tasks and be expected to accurately test your work and feedback to key stakeholders before going live with your developments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for understanding project briefs from key stakeholders, converting them into a programme of development activity, and ensuring that all programming changes are fit for purpose and that all testing and implementation are completed within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with system experts within the business and 3rd party programming experts to work rapidly and efficiently, whilst mitigating any system downtime or system error risk.
- Ensure all PHP developments smoothly interface between all IWT internal and external systems to allow a seamless flow of data and ensure business continuity is always maintained.
- Work on PHP developments with the user in mind, ensuring intuitive and easy-to-understand interfaces and flows are developed.
- Accurately document all tasks issued, progress made against tasks and feedback on your progress to the business on a regular basis. Make recommendations in terms of how programming or PHP infrastructure could be improved, always maintaining the stability of any codebase that you have introduced

Essential Skills and Experience:
- 5 years plus of Full Stack PHP programming experience, ideally working in an environment or in a business where key stakeholder briefs need to be converted into workstreams
- Good knowledge and experience programming in PHP, MySQL and MSSQL.
- You must have experience in TALL Stack, a full-stack development solution used for building powerful, modern, and reactive Laravel applications. The TALL stack consists of four essential parts: Tailwind CSS, and Alpine. js, Laravel, and Livewire.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Laravel, but also able to navigate different and more historical code frameworks
