Temporary Position for a Treasury Accountant, Accounting & Finance, Start Date: January 2025, 14 months FTC, Hybrid working, Salary: £45-50k Negotiable based on experience, Location: Manchester or Liverpool
The Treasury Accountant will prepare regular cash flow projections for senior management. The successful candidate will also monitor group cash balances, research a new cash flow forecasting system, plan group taxes, and be the main point of contact for cash accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Produce weekly cash flow projections for the PCA Group, working with Management Accounting colleagues to understand key cash inflows and outflows.
- Maintain and improve current AR and AP cash flow models
- Monitor operating bank account balances daily, ensuring all entities are sufficiently funded.
- Plan and implement timely cash transfers, obtaining the best available FX rate for the PCA group.
- Work with Commercial Accountant on Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement for annual Budget and periodic forecasts
- Develop weekly reporting formats for senior management and the Board
- Monthly cash reports on Invenio (debt purchasing business) entities by portfolios (UK and US)
- Report the current PCA Group Debt weekly.
- Support Global Finance Director on identifying alternative uses for cash surplus finding high-interest savings accounts (UK and Australia) or reducing current debt and interest costs (US).
- Research for a new cashflow forecasting system that can be integrated into our current accounting system (NetSuite).
- Develop tax planning process and strategy for the PCA Group.
- Develop medium/long term cash planning process, working with the Senior Finance Leadership Team to deliver a PCA Group strategy.
- Develop scenario planning models for group cash planning
- Meet the goals and objectives as set out by Management.
- Ad hoc projects and assignments as the GFD or Global CFO allocates.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Achieved or studied for a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA.) or equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience in a Senior Finance role such as Management Accountant, Cash Management Accountant
- Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the financial industry
- Drive to develop and expand role-relevant knowledge
- Experience of medium/long term cash planning process/tax planning process and strategy
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, as well as financial statement software (Oracle NetSuite preferred)
- Team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
