Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Support Engineer based at our head office in North Shields to provide technical support on our range of air conditioning for our growing installer network.

As a technical support engineer, you will handle post-sale technical enquiries including fault finding, product information, spare parts and more from our installer network. You will be given training in all manufactured products and entrusted to provide the best technical support to our customers and engineers.

We offer high-tech solutions for heating, cooling and heat recovery that reflect today's demand for sustainable construction.

The Job:

  • Take ownership of technical and service-related enquiries.
  • Develop an understanding of this company's service department and work as part of a wider team providing technical support to field service engineers, customer services, warranty claims and sales teams.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends and escalate to Technical Services and Product Management teams
  • Provide feedback from the field to the Training department for the development of training material
  • Remain up to date with the relevant industry standards, British Standards, Building Regulations etc
  • Provide support to installers regarding relevant industry regulations, standards and documentation
  • Use the business systems in place to support activities of the job role and enable accurate reporting.

As a member of the technical team, you may be asked on occasion to undertake a variety of tasks and or be involved in projects undertaken by the technical department

The Person:

  • FGas 2079 Cat 1 minimum with at least 10 years of installation/service experience.
  • NVQ level 3 desirable.
  • Experience with fault diagnosis.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • This role requires excellent IT, organisational, communication and presentation skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and communicate manufacturers' instructions and industry standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
