Job Description

This is an opportunity to join Eckoh’s Cloud Native Platform team as a Full Stack Engineer working on cutting-edge cloud-based technologies. The role will operate with a focus on developing new applications and systems to support Eckoh’s long-term product roadmap and supporting the product engineering teams to deliver and develop their solutions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled developer to operate in a constantly changing dynamic environment building cutting-edge applications and systems in a Cloud Native company.

The position has a current focus towards AWS however the successful candidate should be able to use their skills to work in a true multi-cloud environment.

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Work within AWS to architect and operate highly available, secure production services using development & Cloud Native best practices.
  • Create, analyse, and improve automations, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Embody the ideals of a security-first culture and DevSecOps.
  • Debug complex issues in systems spanning multiple components.
  • Researching, learning, and suggesting new systems to add to the core platform stack.
  • Contribute to technical training sessions and developer learning forums.
  • Support other teams in their DevOps and Cloud native transitions.

Skills / Requirements:

  • Total 8+ years of development experience using modern development tools and practices
  • Full stack development experience including a core language e.g. NodeJs, Typescript, Python and a front-end discipline e.g. react or Nuxt.
  • Experience developing applications to the highest level of security including the use of tooling to enhance best practices and standards
  • Demonstrable experience architecting enterprise business solutions
  • Expert familiarity with scripting languages (bash/python) etc.
  • Experience with how to develop applications and systems to be monitored and how well they are running.
  • Experience debugging and maintaining complex systems.
  • The ability to learn and work with new systems with little internal support

Highly advantageous knowledge and experience:

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS Serverless technologies.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment tooling (CICD Pipeline, GitLab, GitOps, ArgoCD). Experience with docker and containerization.
  • Experience in modern development methodologies/strategies e.g. Agile methods, DevSecOps best practices etc.
  • Experience with deployment tools and frameworks like Docker, Kustomize, Helm, and Serverless frameworks.
  • Skilled in modern software design (e.g. self-descriptive APIs, Composable UI etc )
  • Experience in Kafka and associated applications (Kafka Connect, KSQLDB etc).
  • Expert skills in database management and design.
