Due to expansion, we are looking for a forward-thinking Network Engineer. As a member of the technical operations team, you will play a vital role in supporting our customer networks, from a simple remote access solution to multi-site enterprise businesses. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently whilst maintaining communication with our customers.

Network Engineer Responsibilities:
Your role will include implementing and troubleshooting network devices across a broad spectrum of customers and devices. Additionally, you will join a team that manages core MPLS networking infrastructure, mitigating threats, working with 3rd party upstream providers and developing monitoring platforms. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing support across multiple customers and network device vendors.
- Manage workloads through internal ticket systems.
- Monitor, maintain and manage system alerts and notifications, identifying areas for improvement across all monitoring platforms.
- Create and maintain accurate networking documentation following company processes for both customer-facing deployments and internal documentation purposes.
- Provide technical resources during projects.
- Be part of networking escalations within the business, forming part of on-call rotas.
- Participate in core networking changes and internal and external patching, all carried out, outside of regular hours.
Essential Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within an MSP environment.
- Working knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
- Firewall experience – ideally Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA or FortiGate devices.
- Network tools and systems such as Wireshark, PRTG and SolarWinds.
- Device lifecycle management including patching and updating.
- Configuration and support of Juniper, Cisco and Aruba hardware and virtual appliances
- A full clean driving licence is a requirement for this role
Desirable:
- JNCIA-Junos or CCNA certification
- Cloud Networking
- Remote Access Solutions (e.g. Cisco AnyConnect)
- HPE Aruba Mobility Products (Wi-Fi and ClearPass)
- Data centre experience (installation and patching of hardware)
- VMware or Azure virtualisation experience
