Job Description

A highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Architect required to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure cloud solutions. As a Senior Azure Architect, you will be responsible for driving cloud adoption strategies, leading architectural designs, and ensuring the successful deployment and operation of Azure-based systems.

Responsibilities:

Architecture Design and Implementation

  • Design and implement Azure cloud architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, design specifications, and best practices.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Cloud Strategy and Planning
  • Drive cloud adoption strategies and guide the organisation through the cloud transformation journey.
  • Conduct cloud readiness assessments and create migration plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business objectives.
  • Technical Leadership
  • Lead technical teams in the development and deployment of Azure solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in cloud architecture and deployment.
  • Security and Compliance
  • Design and implement security controls and compliance frameworks for Azure environments.
  • Monitor and manage security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Performance Optimisation:

  • Continuously monitor and optimise the performance of Azure solutions.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

  • Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and trends.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Qualifications: Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud architecture and azure technologies.
Proven experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions.

Certifications:

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is highly preferred.
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Security Engineer) are a plus.

Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Azure services (Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, ARM templates, Azure CLI, etc.).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
