Key Responsibilities:
Full Stack Development:
- Lead and manage the full development lifecycle of our med-tech platform, including design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Utilise your expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript to develop and maintain our system across the stack.
- Design and implement new features and can create new applications from scratch.
- Ensure high application uptime and performance, maintaining our infrastructure on DigitalOcean servers.
- API Integration and Management:
- Integrate and manage multiple APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient system integration.
- Work with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and other related technologies to enhance our platform’s capabilities.
Technical Leadership:
- Make high-level technical decisions that align with our strategic goals.
- Lead a team of developers, setting clear goals, delegating tasks, and ensuring efficient collaboration.
- Steer product development from a technical perspective, working closely with stakeholders to ensure product alignment with business objectives.
- Project Management:
- Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to manage project timelines, deliverables, and team collaboration.
- Track project progress using tools like Zoho, ensuring that milestones are met, and stakeholders are kept informed.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and other departments, including teams based in different cultural contexts.
- Provide regular updates, feedback sessions, and performance evaluations to internal stakeholders and external customers teams.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in full-stack development.
- 3+ years in a senior or lead developer role, with experience in making high-level technical decisions.
- Proven expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, and familiarity with DigitalOcean.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Express.js and database systems like PostgreSQL.
- Experience in API integration and management, particularly with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of leading and motivating teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid remote environments.
