Job Description

An Investment Management company based in Nottingham currently on the lookout for an enthusiastic PHP Developer.

The Role

As PHP Developer you will be responsible for developing bespoke in-house software as part of a growing, dynamic, and ambitious team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and be able to take the initiative on certain aspects of their work, but also be capable of working to pre-set product/project specifications. This position will be varied, and you will work closely, not only with the immediate development team, but also with wider business functions such as Project Managers, Software Testers and Business Analysts, amongst others.

There are many initiatives underway within the organisation so plenty of room for growth - both technically and professionally.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in PHP & OOP is a MUST
  • Strong experience of MVC frameworks (CodeIgniter preferred)
  • Strong experience in relational databases, MySQL
  • Able to interpret existing [source] code
  • API design experience – working knowledge minimum
  • HTML5
  • CSS3 / Bootstrap
  • JavaScript/ jQuery
  • Source Control / Git/bitbucket
  • JSON
  • SOAP
  •  Unit testing (training will be given if required)
