The Role

Join our rapidly expanding Finance team as a Management Accountant, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving our company's financial success! We're looking for a highly skilled professional with a deep knowledge of FRS 102, a passion for numbers, and a sharp analytical mind. If you're eager to make an impact by working closely with cross-functional teams and thriving in a fast-paced environment, this is your chance to take your career to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Reporting: Manage month-end reporting across multiple entities by posting journal entries, reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts, resolving discrepancies, producing flash reports, and preparing monthly management accounts for various business units.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data, providing detailed commentary on variances to offer insights to management, and respond to financial inquiries with ad hoc analysis.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with business partners and departments to ensure accurate financial balances, and support annual audits with required documentation and explanations.
  • Consolidations: Perform intercompany reconciliations, eliminate intercompany transactions, and consolidate financial statements for subsidiaries.
  • Day-to-day accounting: Execute daily accounting tasks to support overall financial management.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What we’re looking for:

Experience:

  • 1-3 years PQE (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with 3 years of relevant accounting work experience, ideally in a startup or agile business environment.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with financial software systems like Xero and QuickBooks, proficiency in Google Sheets, and intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.).
  • Problem-solving: A problem solver with exceptional analytical abilities, outstanding attention to detail, and strong prioritisation skills.
  • Collaboration: A communicative team player who thrives in a collaborative setting but can also independently drive results.
