Software Engineer 

We are seeking a local talented and motivated full/part-time in-house Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a software engineer at USE, you will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality software applications while continuously improving and optimising existing systems.

About Us:

U.S.E. (Ultimate Sports Engineering),incorporates Exposure Lights / OLAS, functions as a manufacturer and distributor of inventive sports merchandise, principally to cycling and marine activities. However, its scope has recently broadened to encompass the fields of Medical and Auto as well. With a global presence, the company holds a prominent position as a frontrunner in specialised domains. Situated in the picturesque surroundings of West Sussex within the South Downs National Park, U.S.E. draws inspiration from dedicated cyclists and is motivated by cyclists with an obsession with creating the ultimate in state-of-the-art components to improve performance and enjoyment.

About You:

Educated to degree level in Computing or equivalent degree.
A good foundational understanding of computing and associated technologies and tools.
Has a passion for technology and software development.
Problem-solving skills and a creative approach to software development.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

The Role:

  • Participate in the completed software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with designers to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Stay up to date with the latest software development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Perform regular software maintenance and updates to keep applications current and secure.
  • Embedded C / C++.
  • Experienced with Microchip PIC, Arm (Cortex M0+), Espressif (ESP32) processors and development environments
  • Skilled in writing drivers for SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM, MEMs sensors, and user interfaces (small LCD screens).
  • Real-time control using PID.
