About the team:

Being part of the Network and Infrastructure organization, you’ll help to engineer and deliver the core infrastructure services that power our payments platform. We’re responsible for running some very critical systems, hosted from our data centers and public cloud.

Cloud Network Engineer

As a Cloud Network Engineer, you’ll work with large, complex network systems and help maintain the infrastructure that’s critical to the world of global fintech. This will involve upgrading systems and software and deploying network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls. You are the end-to-end owner of network infrastructure. You design and manage network security frameworks to support all hosted environments. You own information security and network reliability, and they are at the core of your thought processes.

  • Significant engineering and operational background with leading cloud providers
  • Lead or assist in the data protection, disaster recovery and business continuance planning of a large, globally distributed virtualization and storage infrastructure
  • Regularly interface with, mentor, advise and collaborate with IT department personnel (e.g., enterprise applications, software developers, help desk, middleware administrators, ) and contribute toward organizational achievement of IT and business objectives
  • Regularly interface with, advise and collaborate with business stakeholders (e.g., product managers, business process owners, engineers and consultants)
  • Perform technical and cost analysis as necessary to evaluate, select, and recommend technologies that and support IT and business objectives
  • Author architectural documentation and change requests in accordance with organizational policies and change management procedures
  • Works on multiple simultaneous projects to implement new technologies and configurations with chosen cloud vendors in conjunction with other internal groups
  • Networking and virtualized networking

What you bring:

  • 10+ years' experience in implementing large-scale networks
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Software-defined networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Openstack, and other emerging technologies
  • 5 years' experience in migrating and/or extending on-premises networks to the cloud
  • 5 years' experience in troubleshooting and solving networking issues
  • 4 years' experience with Load Balancers f5, Citrix
