Web Developer (ID: hXI5lZCd)

As a Web Developer you will be working in our Digital team, and alongside the Technology team, responsible for building and maintaining our digital portfolio across our 3 brands (Red Engine, Flight Club & Electric Shuffle). Your main responsibilities will be to manage tasks in the Discover & Explore and Loyalty squads, as well as supporting bigger initiatives alongside the wider Digital team.

You will help to ensure continued success by maintaining the suite of automated test plans for all websites. They will continually be looking to improve the websites in terms of optimisation, SEO ranking and user experience – making use of insight and analytics.

As the websites are always evolving, you’ll also have a voice in designing new features and solutions to support the brand as we grow. Innovation is one of our key values, so you’ll be keen to evaluate ideas and new technology to drive the product forward.

To be successful in this role, you’ll:

• Be enthusiastic, driven and meticulous
• Have a minimum 2 years professional experience in a similar role
• Have the ability to produce clean, modular and maintainable code
• Have experience in responsive web development
• Have strong JavaScript, HTML and CSS skills
• Familiarity with REST API’s
• Familiarity with GIT & PHP
• Curiosity to experiment with new technologies and methodologies
• Proven ability to deliver their part of the project on time and to the desired quality

Web Developer Key Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and maintaining our websites and web applications
• Writing, maintaining and executing test plans for each website
• Maintaining and adding functions to the website Content Management Systems
• Maintaining the automated pipelines through dev, staging and live
• Participating in feature design meetings and contributing ideas and insights
• Agreeing the timing and deliverables with Product Manager and Senior Developer
• Working alongside the Senior Developer and Digital Designer to build the designs into the agreed structure
