Cloud Devops & IT Consultant (Glasgow/Edinburgh)

Software Tec Lab is a growing software development consultancy based in Glasgow. We are seeking a self-motivated, Cloud and IT consultant to help lead innovative solutions for our cloud and IT clients. This is a high-profile, hands-on consultancy role, with the opportunity for you to benefit from lots of variety, and be rewarded for successful development projects. In the role you will have the opportunity to develop across platforms and guide technology decisions.

Essential Technical skills:

Multi-year experience supporting IT systems;

• AWS or Azure Cloud development knowledge;
• Cloud/Virtualization engineering;
• Backend Server experience;
• Windows/Linux Config Management;
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD;
• Hands-on IT skills.

The following desirable skills are a plus for the candidate

• Degree qualification in Computing, IT, Software or equivalent;
• Backend DevOps for Azure/AWS, SQL;
• Windows/Linux platform and system admin;
• Knowledge of Docker/Containerisation, Security, Networking
• Active Directory/LDAP/Group Policy
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g. Python/PowerShell);
• Software development skills;

We are building an exciting capability for development projects across a range of clients. The role is based at our office in Glasgow city centre, and arrangements for periods of home-working can be explored.
