Job Types: Full-time, Permanent  -  Pay: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year  -   Office Hours:? 9-5 pm Monday to Friday.  -  Must be able to reliably commute to Mulbarton (South of Norwich).

Mabel & Fox - Online Baby & Toddler Retailer - E-commerce Assistant - Mabel & Fox might be small, but we certainly pack a punch!

We are a rapidly growing independent, online retailer specialising in Baby & Toddler essentials. Based in South Norwich and established by a Mum on maternity leave in 2015, we have since grown rapidly and have an amazing team of 14 working from our Warehouse & Office in Mulbarton. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to join our award-winning business.

We currently have a position for a full-time E-commerce Assistant to join our team based in Mulbarton. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team and will work closely with our existing E-commerce team.

Our ideal candidate will be diligent, and meticulous, possess creative writing skills and thrive in a busy working environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • New product listings?- Creating and uploading new products to the Mabel & Fox website by taking basic information from suppliers and creating compelling and SEO-friendly product descriptions.
  • Creating product collections?- Creating new and updating existing product collections with well-written, engaging and SEO-friendly descriptions.
  • Product content?- Working closely with our Management Team to ensure all product listings are accurate, extremely well written and adhere to e-commerce best practices.
  • Product listing improvements?- Ongoing website maintenance of existing products and collections. Ensuring that SEO is utilised with keyword research, descriptions are informative and links are active/still relevant.
  • Product upselling?- Creating, maintaining and updating product upselling through Shopify apps and product descriptions.
  • Product imagery?- Ensuring that product photography and videos are correctly prepared, uploaded and have suitable quality and size.
  • Website efficiencies -?To assist with improving the website, making efficiencies and facilitating a better website speed score.
  • Google merchant?- Take the lead on ensuring products are listed correctly in Google and troubleshooting existing products.
  • Project work - To take ownership of the retrospective update of a large number of products and collections bringing them up to date and compliant with e-commerce best practices.
  • Performing regular keyword research?- Manually or through the use of analytic tools to not only optimise titles and descriptions, but to also increase product listing SEO rankings.
  • Competitor analysis?- Performing basic competitor analysis on comparable products to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Product library?- Create, organise and collect information to manage and update the product library.
  • Inventory - Assisting the warehouse team with ensuring incoming stock is checked in, replenished on the shelves and updated on digital inventory in a timely, systematic and considered manner.

Experience & Skills:

The successful candidate will have at least 1-year experience in a similar role with an online retailer. In addition, the following skills are prerequisites for a successful candidate:

  • Excellent literacy skills, with a strong grasp of the English language and ability to write with fluency, punctuation and creativity.
  • A strong eye for detail.
  • IT literate; must be able to operate Microsoft Office programs including Excel. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to working with new software applications too.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in order to ensure products are listed on our website in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work methodically, managing your own time to ensure you keep on top of the workload.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well within a dynamic team environment.
  • An excellent work ethic, a can-do attitude with a proactive desire to learn.
  • Working SEO knowledge is advantageous (not essential as training can be given).
  • Experience with the web platform Shopify is a big plus.
  • A keen interest and understanding of the Baby & Toddler industry is advantageous.
