Job Description

Talented, experienced Software Automation Engineer with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming using C# required

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. Your proficiency in C#, along with a knowledge of test automation languages like Selenese, will be essential in creating efficient and effective automation test cases and test suites.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the QA team, Developers and Product Owners to understand the software requirements and design test cases that validate functionality, performance and usability.
  • Participate in refinement sessions, providing the testing point of view in these sessions.
  • Create automated test cases and test suites.
  • Execute them to identify defects and ensure consistent software quality throughout the development process.
  • Troubleshoot and debug test failures, identifying root causes and resolving these in a timely manner.
  • Integrate test automation into the build and deployment process, ensuring continuous integration and delivery pipelines are properly tested.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and automation, and actively contribute to improving our testing processes.

What we are looking for in a candidate?

  • A strong understanding of OOP preferably using C#.
  • Understand the Selenium library and NUnit.
  • Comfortable in using Azure DevOps and Visual Studio.
  • Proficient in API testing using either Insomnia or Postman.
  • A good understanding of the STLC.
  • A minimum qualification of an ISTQB certification.
  • Able to translate complex requirements into comprehensive test cases, considering various scenarios and edge cases.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies, HTTP protocols and error codes.
  • Experience of load and/or performance testing would be useful in the future.
