Job Description

A skilled NetSuite Developer is required to join our team and drive the design, development, and implementation of NetSuite solutions to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in NetSuite customisation, scripting, integrations, and process automation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise business processes and ensure the seamless operation of our NetSuite ERP system.

NetSuite Developer  Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on system functionality and code-level detail
  • Design, develop, and implement NetSuite customisations using SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.0) and other development tools.
  • Develop, code, and test functions and scripts for software applications.
  • Create and modify NetSuite forms, fields, workflows, and records to support business processes.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other business applications using RESTlet, SOAP, and SuiteTalk.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for NetSuite issues, including debugging and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, finance, operations, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in regular feedback from the business on effectiveness of delivery and solutions provided.
  • Manage and execute NetSuite upgrades, system maintenance, and configuration changes.
  • Test or coordinate user testing in NetSuite Sandbox to approve changes before implementation
  • Comply with and help enforce standard procedures for Development documentation, version control, programming, and sandbox/go-live migration best practices.
  • Promote the use of NetSuite and be the central point of contact within the company
  • Maintain a register of open issues / enhancement requests
  • Contribute to Development onboarding materials and processes as needed.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs within NetSuite.
  • Support Netsuite Administration as directed by the Head of IT.
  • Ensure data integrity and system security through proper user roles and permissions management.
  • Stay updated with NetSuite releases and industry best practices to recommend improvements and new features including AI.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience developing and administering NetSuite solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.0), SuiteFlow, and SuiteBuilder.
  • Experience with NetSuite integration using REST, SOAP, and external APIs.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and other web technologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP business processes (e.g., finance, supply chain, sales).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NetSuite certifications (e.g., SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
