Senior Software Developer (Contract) (ID: mVk8ONUj)

We are currently seeking a capable, reliable and motivated senior software developer (Contractor) to work as part of a small development team developing bespoke websites and applications for customers. The candidate is required to have strong communication skills and work well within a team. This is the ideal role for an enthusiastic developer with a proven history of development experience and design skills to play a key role in updating key business systems. The contract length is 3 months to begin, with the opportunity of longer.

Senior Software Developer Skills Requirements:

• Backend development experience with .NET Core / .NET 6 / ASP.NET (C#)
• MVC architecture familiarity
• Frontend development HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• SQL/SQL query tuning & optimisation
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Be able to actively participate in project reviews and evaluations, providing feedback and ideas in support of the company’s development
• Demonstrate excellent coding practices with specific regard to security concerns
• Project and time management
• Source control system experience (git, Azure DevOps etc.)
• Familiar with developing and managing build and deployment pipelines.

Desirable Skills:

• Azure experience
• UI/UX design experience
• Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
• Domain-driven design (DDD) architectural experience
• Service-oriented design experience
• Experience working with risk management systems/case management systems or similar

Required Experience:

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent commercial web development experience (at least 2 years)
• Experience working with software development standards and processes
• Job Type: Fixed-term contract

Pay: £400.00-£500.00 per day
