About the role:
Finance Analyst – Business FP&A role is to be responsible for the day-to-day processing of the forecasting and reporting routines and supports the Financial Controller and Business partners with timely and accurate analysis. The Finance Analyst – Business FP&A will be part of the broader UK FP&A Team, requiring building a strong working relationship to contribute to the standardisation of UK processes. The role involves transactional processing, analysis and adherence to Group controls following SOPs to execute the tasks within agreed SLAs and KPIs
Accountabilities:
Prepare and circulate daily and weekly performance trackers.
Maintain and develop tracker files and reports.
Review and analyse P&L and tracker information for errors and trends.
Collaborate with Finance Shared Services on P&Ls and balance sheet reconciliations.
Support EBITDA reconciliation and analysis for review.
Generate ad-hoc operational reports to aid business performance analysis.
Work with the UK FP&A Team to streamline reporting for senior management.
Build and maintain relationships with report users.
Forecasting:
Adhere to forecasting schedules: 13-week Tracker Forecast, Quarterly Rolling Forecast, 3-year Business Plans.
Prepare accurate forecast data templates and analysis.
Reflect trends and cost drivers in financial models.
Submit forecast data into Cognos on time.
Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed reports.
Product Costing & Pricing:
Collaborate with Procurement for price forecasting.
Complete standards reset activities with thorough analysis.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing information.
Prepare price variance reports and ad-hoc costing analysis.
Communication and Change Management:
Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate updates.
Collaborate with peers to harmonize processes and drive improvements.
Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
Support various projects, including centralization and IS transformation.
Control Environment:
Assist with internal and external audit-related activities.
People Management:
Provide guidance and training to Associate Finance Analyst.
Conduct regular performance reviews.
About you:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and concisely, with the ability to support using analysis and trend information generated
Comprehensive Microsoft Office skills - particularly MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ideally have previous experience in working with Finance ERP systems and Business Reporting Tools
In progress of completing a Professional Accounting Qualification (e.g. AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
