Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and be proficient in a variety of programming languages and tools.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position, which is fully office-based in either Tredegar or Cardiff - hybrid working is not available.

The main purpose of the job:

Main responsibilities are to provide technical leadership to R&D teams to deliver NPD projects from discovery to product launch, preparing the technical file and design history file for regulatory submission. It will include support regulatory affairs and quality activities to ensure products meet regulations. Lead and support NCR and CAPA. Knowledge of statistical analysis is essential. Lead and support QMS maintenance with the R&D Manager.

Qualifications required:

Minimum a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronics or Software or Integrated Engineering.

Experience required:

Essential to have experience in Class 2A/B medical devices, especially in electro-mechanical systems development. Good knowledge and have completed projects with key standards such as ISO13485, IEC62304, IEC60601, Cybersecurity and 21CFR820. Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++ or other languages in microcontrollers for medical devices. Advantage if have knowledge of FPGA and CLPD, and analogue electronics RF circuit development.

Some project management experience and knowledge of project management methodology.
