Job Description

A Manufacturing Engineer with both technical and problem-solving experience within a specialised electro-mechanical assembly and test environment. This role primarily supports the production of a range of standard and specialist pump assemblies and requires the ability to lead the development of new and existing manufacturing processes. Experience in ATE (Automated test equipment) or similar is desired, but not essential.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Work with the operations team to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing processes.
  • Experienced in implementing modern manufacturing methods (Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing) and effectively apply them to reduce lead times and subsequently improve quality, on-time delivery and cost to the customer.
  • Continuously work to reduce the levels of process scrap and rework through improved workflow techniques based on root cause analysis data (ideally 8D problem solving technique).
  • Competent in CAD and good working knowledge of Solid Works
  • Generation / update as required the production BOM’s on ERP system (Sage).
  • Implement , Control and managing of ECR’s, NPIV’s AP’s & PFR’s
  • Design and control of process data, jigs & fixtures & packing specifications
  • Preparation/updating of new/existing manufacturing process documentation (SOP’s) and associated tooling required for product manufacture.
  • Works within company guidelines and contributes to their development, the objective being to maximise company efficiency whilst meeting customer requirements.
  • Promote the company Health and Safety policy and practices in all areas of the working environment.
  • Proven experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Electronics/Programming Data Acquisition
  • Understanding and experience in a manufacturing/process driven environment ideal.
  • Quality focused.
  • Good level of knowledge for Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience working with an MRP system (Sage Preferable).
  • Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills are essential with the ability to juggle various tasks.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
