Software Test Engineer Dutes include:
- Develop test cases, design and implement test scenarios, and document test cases, while reporting any detected defects.
- Oversee smaller project modules and contributing to project completion.
- Supporting various responsibilities like estimation, risk management, defect monitoring, planning, and resource allocation within your area of responsibility.
- Enforce the organisation's standard processes and tools, taking a proactive role in ensuring high-quality testing implementation.
- Coordinate closely with the Team to address any issues that might impact project schedules, budgets, or product quality.
- Actively participate in monitoring and tracking defects across the testing lifecycle, offering solutions to developers and securing test closure reports and approvals.
- Provide regular progress updates to the client.
- Identify and report risks and issues, documenting mitigations and corrective actions.
- Exhibit persistence and focus in achieving assigned goals, acting as a role model even during challenging or time-constrained periods.
Software Test Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Tester.
- Proficiency in Selenium, Javascript, JEST, and Playwright frameworks, with a strong background in Agile methodology.
- Expertise in web browser testing, including compatibility with APEX 4/5, IE8/IE11, and Chrome scripts.
- Demonstrated use of various testing tools, such as Selenium, TestNG, ANT, Eclipse, WinSCP, Beyond Compare, and Putty.
- Experience in Accessibility testing, utilising Wave/Axe plug-ins within an automation framework.
- Knowledge of API Testing and Web Services Testing using SoapUI 5.x.x.
- Experience testing native cloud-based solutions and their deployment infrastructure.
- Understanding of CI/CD, familiar with Azure Devops and AWS.
- Good SQL database interrogation and manipulation skills.
- Capable of creating test plans, test reports, test strategies, and user guides.
- Proficient in the use of MS Team Foundation Server and JIRA, with demonstrable experience.
- Completion of ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification is required, with ISTQB Advanced recommended.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in an intercultural environment.
