A highly skilled, experienced gas installation engineer is required for maintenance and troubleshooting. If you are a reliable and dedicated professional with a strong background working with commercial heating systems, and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect role for you.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance visits and servicing.
- Working on a variety of commercial plants including boilers, burners, water heaters and other mechanical plant/pipework including oil and LPG units.
- Carrying out reactive maintenance visits where you will need to fault find, diagnose, isolate, and repair.
- To ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety and The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations (GSIUR) 1998.
- To identify and report remedial works including parts, required to carry out repairs to the set company standard. Record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used to capture this on the company’s tablets / I.T system.
- Be prepared to work flexibly with the possibility of working outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business
- Carry out your daily tasks in a helpful and professional approach prioritising customer service.
- To escalate issues to the Supervisor/ Manager immediately.
- To keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear the correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations.
- Submitting detailed engineering reports to ensure our office team can communicate clearly with the client and complete remedial quotes.
Experience Required:
- Valid Commercial Gas Certifications: CODNCO1, COCN1, TPCP1, ICPN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1.
- Domestic Gas Tickets: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR, CPA1.
- CSCS card
- 2 years of commercial experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- OFTEC Registered, desirable.
- LPG, desirable.
- Gas boosters, desirable.
- Unvented, desirable.
- IPAF and PASMA qualification, desirable.
- Competent with job reporting systems & MS 365.
